Libraries in our municipality

Central Library is in Kovačica. In library fund there are about 25,000 books, mostly in Serbian and Slovak language.

The library has its branches and book funds in each of the towns in our municipality. There library has another 25 000 books in four languages: Slovak, Serbian, Hungarian and Romanian. Library of Kovacica also has its regional fund in which there are about 500 titles. This fund includes works that are directly or indirectly related to the region in which the municipality is Kovačica.


The task of the Regional Fund and the regional bibliography is to bring together everything that was published and reproduced for printing about our geographic territory, all that is published on the region, people, authors and works, the natural, social and spiritual products and works of authors who are some way related to the region.

The library is equipped with computers that have Internet access. In addition, you can buy books on Kovačca, which may serve as a souvenir.

The municipal library in Kovačica is also organizing various cultural events / literary evenings, recitals and book promotions. Library also serves as a base for a literary section and literary magazine Klasý that publishes works in Slovak language .
